Founder and Lead Mentor, Marquita White
Marquita White has over 30 years of experience working with the youth. She is an exceptional member of society creating change in systems that
effect society as a whole. She believes that others become inspired by how you walk and that one leads by example. Maintaining a 4.00 in college she
ranked in the top 300 out of 60,000 students for academics and leadership, holding a degree in Business Administration. At a very young age, she
discovered she had a passion for working with kids and helping others. She would volunteer her free time to work with disabled children, encouraging
others to see them as equals. She has experience with kids from all different social backgrounds; from established to inner city youth as her family has
worked in foster care for over 30 years. During her freshman year in college, she was sought out for motivational speaking events to reach the youth in
underserved neighborhoods. She was recently asked to serve as a Student Site Council Member and was appointed for a second year’s terms for the
Twin Rivers School District where she later became a Certified Substitute teacher with the students vastly taking a liking to her pushing for her to
become their permanent teacher. Marquita has a way of reaching the youth. She has a unique balance of being firm, yet loving and relatable with a
big personality that inspires many and keeps the kids engaged. She combines this with her deep passion to connect and pour into others, creating a
lasting impact. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, teach ad expose her kids to new things, singing, dancing, traveling, trying new
restaurants, and connecting with others. With positive energy, many describe her as a genuine amazing woman leaving them feeling inspired and
happy just by being around her.
